21-year-old Toronto rapper Houdini has died after being rushed to hospital Tuesday from multiple gunshot wounds sustained during a shooting Toronto’s Entertainment District. The "VV’s" rapper succumbed to his injuries around 6:30 p.m., in what Police Chief Mark Saunders says appears to be a targeted shooting.

A woman, 27, and a 15-year-old boy sustained injuries during the shooting but are expected to recover.

“It turns out the suspect vehicle, based on the evidence we have right now, was waiting for about forty minutes for the occupants of another vehicle to arrive to their vehicle” Saunders told reporters Tuesday afternoon.“When they did, the suspect vehicle made a U-turn, came out, and started firing at this group of individuals.”

Houdini’s death marks another difficult loss in a span of six months that’s claimed the lives of Toronto’s budding acts, Bvlly, Why-S and Fourty4double0 of Tallup Twinz.

Houdini recently released his EP underGROUND and the single VV's with fellow Toronto Rapper KILLY accompanied by a music video that's amassed over a million views on YouTube.
