New York-based female duo Overcoats are playing at Field Trip Music and Arts Festival in Toronto on June 3.

Their debut album YOUNG is a blend of indie, pop and electronic music with great harmonies and melodies that capture the listener. The album explores love, connection, tension and the challenges one faces when growing up.

The duo, comprised of Hana Elion and JJ Mitchell, say they love Toronto and are excited to be back in town for the festival. The pair is also looking forward to performing alongside Canadian indie pop singer-songwriter Feist.

"We are big fan girls of Feist, we love her so much and it's always been a dream to share the bill with her."

Check out Overcoats' live show on Saturday at 3 p.m. on the Garrison stage.

In the interview below, Nicole Di Donato chats with the duo about how they first started making music together, their debut album and their upcoming performance in Toronto.
