Paula Owusu aka @paulatomuch is a radio personality and host of Urban Spotlight. This Toronto native is bringing fans the latest from the underground hip hop/urban indie music scene every Friday and Saturday at 7 pm. The daughter of the Dj - music has always been her passion and a way for her to showcase youth leadership and the creation of social change since 2012 (particularly since the creation of her own entertainment company called We Built This Entertainment). Named by Hip Hop Canada as an up and coming artist to watch there’s no denying the the endless talent of Jellytoofly. Tracks like “Back to Basics” and “What Can I Do” feat. Toronto’s own JD Era has been an acclaimed artist making moves for years in the Toronto Hip Hop music scene. He even got the nod from Drake in his latest release “Views”, as he paid homage to JD Era’s undeniable influence on Toronto’s hip hop music today. Tracks like “Dope”, “Soldier Stories” feat. Rich Kidd can easily go down as one the super producers from Toronto whose presence has been felt throughout the underground hip hop music scene. He has worked with the likes of Drake, Kardinal Offishall, K-os, Shad, and Saukrates adding a slew of award winning projects to his name. Jacksonville, Florida native Breeze Davinci is the newest southern phenom with melodic sound much different than what we’re used to from the south. He has opened up for Big Sean Yela Wolf, Raekwon of Wu-Tang, Nappy Roots, Twista, and Ace Hood. Which includes performances throughout Europe.
