For a festival that has been the mainstay of electronic dance music in the city for the past seven years, it is fantastic to see them constantly outdo themselves show after show. The latest instalment of the Electric Island season will take place on Saturday, August 10th at Woodbine Park and has one of the most star studded lineups of the whole summer! This weekend’s show is a must see for all electronic dance music fans in the city and here are some of the highlights to keep an eye out for!

Ones To Watch!

There are only a handful of DJs who can boast to have had such a consistent and vibrant career as Hot Since 82. An Ibiza mainstay and a modern deep house icon, Hot Since 82 brings with him the global sound of deep house with him wherever he goes. If there is anyone capable of transforming Woodbine Park into Pacha or Amnesia (Legendary Ibiza nightclubs) for an evening it is Hot Since 82!

Listen for yourself. Hot Since 82’S masterful set  from Dubrovnik, Croatia earlier this year.

To simply call George Fitzgerald a DJ would be a severe understatement. He is a modern day artist and producer who makes electronic music that translates across dance floors and headphones around the globe. A true artisan, his music has received the critical acclaim of fellow music pioneers such as Bonobo and his 2018 album ‘All That Must Be’ was named one of the top 25 albums of the year by Pop Matters. If you like your music with a side of intricacy, seriousness and progression, George Fitzgerald is a must see. His live sets are more a spiritual journey through music as they are top quality dj sets. Electric Island is in for a treat!

Get lost in the ethereal sounds of George Fitzgerald:

2019 might just be the year of DJ Seinfeld! A breakout of the lo-fi house scene, alongside peers Mallgrab and DJ Boring, DJ Seinfeld has taken the world of tech house by storm with his mind warping sets that leave audiences spiralling across the dance floor. The name of the game is ‘high-energy’ and DJ Seinfeld packs a metric ton of it in his sets. The journey he takes dance floors on is a rollercoaster of a ride filled with highs speed bpm changes, breaks and dangerously off-kilter grooves. This recipe only spells chaos for Electric Island and will surely push energy levels to a new high.

DJ Seinfeld always brings the heat!

Lee Foss coming to any Festival should be a good enough reason to go, period. The tech house legend has been pioneering and defining his own iconic sound for over a decade and his eclectic sets rarely fail to become the highlights of any festival he plays at,  Lee Foss blends house, tech and deep house in a way that no one else does. His selections are consistently top quality and he knows how to keep a party rolling for hours on end without missing a beat. For all these reasons and many more, he is one that will surely elevate this weekend’s Electric Island into the stuff of legends. You don’t want to miss out!

If class is permanent, so is Lee Foss.

Last but not least, we have Dusky who may have single handedly revived deep house music with his hit single Careless that made its rounds in late 2013. Since then, Dusky has proven himself to be a songwriting force churning out deep house hits in his own laidback, cool vibe that made him so appealing since day 1. Dusky comes to Electric Island armed with a new sound and vibe that will undoubtedly see him take the dance world by storm again in the coming months, His new sound is more aggressive, has more edge and pays homage to the rave culture of the late 90s. All this means is that we are in for a hell of an unveiling this weekend and we better lace up our dancing shoes real tight!

Dusky is back with a point to prove.

Don’t Miss This!

Other featured artists on this weekends show include the likes of GUTI, NITIN and JACKIE SPADE who are all class acts on their own and will make the weekend as action packed as can be. All things considered, this may be one of the most star-studded lineups in Electric Island history and you will want to be there to be a part of history!
