Jae Ari gave a stellar performance during 2018 Indie Week’s Hip Hop Showcase and resides from the east side of the city. In 2015, he won the award for Hip Hop Artist of the Year at the Niagara Music Awards. There has been no date set for his upcoming LP, Things Could Be Worse. JT Soul resides from Montreal, Canada has a versatile sound ranging from modern R&B to trap. Through his two projects he’s caught the eyes of Complex, HotNewHipHop & EARMILK. His show is worth seeing for chance to see a young star in the making. Thursday May 10 at Remix Lounge.
Julian Taylor Band
A mix of several genres Julian Taylor Band brings you a sound rooted in blues, folk and hard rock. Their sound and incredible stage presence make them a must see in person. Thursday May 10 at Lee's Palace.
Keffa is rapper, singer, songwriter from Toronto making waves with his trap-soul style of music. His two LPs have been noticed throughout the industry and he has often been featured as one of the bright young talents coming out of the city. Keffa’s show is a must see to catch those smooth Toronto vibes in person. Thursday May 10 at Remix Lounge.
Born in Paris and raised in San Francisco, we are still waiting on a debut project Lolo. High Highs to Low Lows is her biggest single to date, with over three million plays on Spotify. Her sound can be described as a laid back R&B with a bounce. Lolo is absolutely a must see just to get to lost in her soothing voice. Monday May 7 at the Drake Underground.
