The National Campus and Community Radio Conference took place June 6-11 this year. Folks from campus/community stations across Canada got together to celebrate awesome community radio.  We'd like to congratulate our programmers who won NCRA Awards this year.  It was CJRU's first year ever winning!

FemRadio, a production of CJRU's Feminist Radio Collective, won the Women's Hands and Voices Award.

Brennan Doherty, reporter for The Scope News, won the Neskie Manuel Award for Aboriginal Affairs and Culture Programming for his piece on the Attawapiskat protests in Toronto

And CJRU's program director, Elissa Matthews, garnered an honourable mention in the Creative Production category for her David Bowie sound collage, produced for her show, Echo Beach.

We're incredibly proud of all our programmers that produce such passionate and engaging programming each week!
