The Soul Motivators – “All the Way to the Bank”

The name says it all; a band that motivates you to get off your butt, and bust a move on the dancefloor.

The Soul Motivators pay respect to the James Browns and Stevie Wonders that came before them with their brand of 70's inspired retro-funk that'll be sure to keep you on your feet. It's not pop-funk like recent hits from Bruno Mars, this is the real deal.

“All the Way to the Bank” will sound familiar to anyone who knows funk. The jangly, guitar pattern combines with the three-piece horn section to form the song's frenetic backbeat. The beat is such a great example of classic funk, you're almost expecting James Brown to jump in with a feral scream. Instead of Brown, we're blessed with the powerhouse vocals of Shahi Taruko who's been performing with the group for the past 2 years.

So if you're up for the challenge and think your dance moves can keep up with their slick grooves check them out at Lee’s Palace on Friday, Feb 28th, 2020.
