Weaves have been hard as work as usual.  After releasing their debut album last year to critical acclaim, they hit the road and toured furiously and then settled down and wrote a whole new album upon their return from touring.  This, in addition to getting shortlisted for the 2017 Polaris Music Prize.

The quartet chats with Nam-An before the Polaris awards gala about their new album, song writing, and their Polaris nomination.

Front woman Jasmyn Burke jokes that she's been to Polaris many times before; working the door, handing out tickets, and generally being "too familiar" with the Carlu, the gala venue.

The band also talks about who they'd choose to tour with from the shortlist if they could only pick one artist.
